Charlo made his pro debut in 2007. He beat John Jackson in ‘16 for the WBC light middleweight title. After losing the title to Tony Harrison in ‘18, Charlo won it back the next year. Charlo beat Jeison Rosario in ‘20 for the WBA, IBF and The Ring light-middleweight titles.
Castano and Charlo fought in July 2021 for all the belts. The fight ended in a split draw.
