There have been plenty of ups and downs for each team up to this point in the season with both the Celtics (13-11) and Lakers (12-12) hovering around the .500 mark.
The Celtics, who are at the midway point of a five-game Western Conference road trip, are fresh off of scoring a season-high 145 points in a regulation victory over the Trail Blazers. In the win, Jayson Tatum and Dennis Schröder each scored 31 points to lead the way for Boston.

Each member of the above duo is worth keeping an eye on in LA as Tatum has seen a recent uptick in efficiency while Schröder will look to make a statement against his former team in the Lakers and a former Thunder teammate in Russell Westbrook.
Westbrook scored just 10 points (on 4 of 8 shooting) in the Lakers’ loss to the Clippers on Friday. Anthony Davis led the way with 27 points and LeBron James scored 23 points to go with a game-high 11 rebounds after missing one game due to a false positive COVID-19 test result.

James wasn’t exactly pleased following his performance against the Clippers and will look to pace the Lakers by getting into a better rhythm with the Celtics in town. With a number of teams in the Western Conference holding serve in the middle of the pack, a big rivalry win could be just what the Lakers need to build momentum and create some separation.
