The team’s drivers have won the Geico 500 in four of the past six races at the track, and five of the past eight races in the YellaWood 500. Last year, it was Brad Keselowski that won in the Geico 500, making it two in a row in the race for Team Penske after Ryan Blaney won in 2020.

But these superspeedways are just where 23XI’s Bubba Wallace has thrived. He won last year’s YellaWood 500 for his first career win and has finished in the top two in three straight superspeedways, with second-place finishes at the Daytona International Speedway before and after October’s race at Talladega.

If Wallace can pull off his second straight win at the Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday, he would be only the eighth different driver with a win this season.

Fox will continue its coverage of the NASCAR Cup Series in 2022 with the broadcast of the Geico 500. NASCAR will be back on FS1 next week, when the Cup Series heads north to Dover, Delaware. The race will be on TSN1 in Canada.

Mike Joy will call lap-by-lap action, and he’ll be joined by analysts Clint Bowyer and Dale Earnhardt Jr., who is joining the Fox broadcast team as the network’s guest analyst. Fox has been rotating analysts throughout the season to replace Jeff Gordon, who left to work with Hendrick Motorsports. Earnhardt typically works for NBC.
